Chuck Zumpft
Chuck received his J.D. from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law in 1992 and his Bachelor of Arts degree, with High Distinction, from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas in 1989.
Chuck is licensed to practice law in Nevada, California, and Colorado, federal district courts in Nevada and California, and the United States Supreme Court. He practices primarily in the areas of family law and criminal defense. Chuck is well-experienced with municipal law, and is counsel for the City of Yerington, Kingsbury General Improvement District, Indian Hills General Improvement District, Gardnerville Water Company, and Silver Springs Mutual Water Company, not to mention several other governmental entities. Chuck is AV-rated.
Neal C. Falk
Neal is licensed to practice law in Nevada and Florida as well as federal district courts in Nevada and Florida. Neal has 20+ years of legal experience over which time he developed a wide array of representative clients including professional sports athletes, first responders, municipalities, school districts, hospital districts, police departments, and small business owners. He recently moved from South Florida to the Carson Valley to fulfill a lifelong dream of living in the West. He is a member of Minden Rotary Club, a member of the Board of Directors for the Carson Valley Trails Association, and a member of the Nevada State Bar Mock Trial Committee. He also supports many of our local charities and looks forward to helping our community with its diverse legal needs. When he is not practicing law, Neal can be found hiking and photographing the trails of the Eastern Sierra with his dog, Jackson.
Tammy Swails
Tammy was a long-term employee with Brooke Shaw Zumpft, Chuck’s prior firm. Tammy continues her dedication with Chuck and Minden Lawyers as an Advanced Certified Paralegal with over 20 years of experience.
In 2006, Tammy became a certified paralegal through the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA). In 2011, she obtained an Advanced Paralegal Certification (“APC”) in Business Organizations and more recently in 2013, an additional APC in Family Law.
Tammy spent most of her youth in the Eastern Sierra but found herself in Southern California for too many years. In 2005, she relocated to Gardnerville to raise her two children in the pristine and friendly Carson Valley and has never looked back.
You will find Tammy hiking the Tahoe Rim Trail, kayaking Tahoe, waterskiing Topaz, camping in Yosemite, or running up Monitor with her life partner, Jim. She enjoys camping, cycling, and the many adventures that The Sierra has to offer, but most important is time with family and friends.

Successful applicants must be open to learning new areas of law, will have knowledge of or interest in family law; and must reside in or around the Douglas County or Carson City areas.
